Profile

Darcy graduated from the University of South Australia in 2015 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy). It was through a final year university placement where Darcy discovered his passion for hand therapy and has been enjoying a challenging caseload with SA Hand Therapy since.

Currently playing football in the country, Darcy has a particular interest in treating sporting injuries and assists fellow teammates with upper limb injuries outside of the clinic. Darcy brings with him experience working with individuals in the aged care sector and a rehabilitation hospital where he has treated neurological conditions such as stroke and general orthopaedic conditions.

Darcy is passionate about completing medical missionary work in Bhutan. Darcy has assisted with preparing GP talks on “Acute Hand Management” and the talk presented on “Thoracic Outlet Syndrome” at the National Occupational Physicians Conference, May 2016.

Darcy is an Associate Member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association and a Full Member of Occupational Therapy Australia. He has served two terms on the Occupational Therapy Australia, South Australian Divisional Council holding various portfolios. Darcy is currently undertaking further study at Flinders University and is a student member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Darcy is still consulting at our Daw Park and Blackwood rooms.
