A keen interest in research

Suzanne has been co-investigator in multiple clinical research studies, all of which have been presented at national and international conferences. She has teamed up with Dr Nicola Massey-Westropp, University of South Australia on ‘Outcome of Autologous Blood Injection in the treatment of Chronic Common Extensor Origin Tendinopathy’ and ‘Randomized Controlled Trial of a New Electrical Modality (Inter X) and Soft Tissue Massage, Stretching, Ultrasound and Exercise for Treating Lateral Epicondylitis’. More recently, she was involved in a study looking at unilateral hand pain with Dr Ann Meulders and Dr Lorimer Moseley entitled ‘Contingency Learning Deficits and Generalization in Chronic Unilateral Hand Pain Patients’ She has also been published in peer review journals.

Scientific Committee Member and Co-Scientific Chair

In 2007, Suzanne was on the Scientific Committee for the International Federation Society of Hand Therapists Conference held in Sydney. More recently she was Co-Scientific Chair for the National Australia Hand Therapy Conference, held in Adelaide in 2012. Her academic effort and mentoring are supported by her position as Adjunct Clinical Lecturer with University of South Australia and mentor for the Australian Hand Therapy Association.
